Wind energy

The SEAS-NVE Energy Group manage all traditional disciplines of a modern utility company operating at all high voltage levels.

 

As our region is densely populated with local wind turbine generators we have long term experience in integrating wind power into our transmission system.

 

SEAS-NVE has been involved in wind farms since the late 1980’s with construction of onshore wind farms in our own region. Later we have been involved in land based wind farms all over the world from Russia to South Africa and Brazil to Australia.

 

Offshore SEAS-NVE erected the Worlds first wind farm, Vindeby, off the North coast of Lolland in 1992. On the Nysted Offshore Wind Farm, commissioned in 2003, SEAS-NVE played a major role from planning and design to installation and commissioning. Today SEAS-NVE own and operate the offshore high voltage substation as well as the export cable system.
