Title: Energy consultant
Education: HVAC and energy engineer, energy consultant
Employed in: 2012
Kristian is an energy consultant and works in the department of energy consultancy and efficiency. He works with 13 other energy consultants and assist major public and private customers with the implementation of energy renovation projects.
Originally, Kristian trained as an HVAC and energy engineer, but later completed further training to become an energy consultant, because the energy area, and in particular renewable energy, is dear to his heart.
As an energy consultant, it is often about working out the best possible solution for the customers, and for Kristian, the division of responsibilities between him and the customer is very clear:
- I’m their consultant. That means, my role is to prepare the preliminary work and the tender material as well as possible, so that the customer receives the correct bids on the right projects.
As energy consultants at SEAS-NVE, we spend a lot of time out there, at the buildings to see what is actually possible. From time to time you hear of other projects, which are only drafted at the desk – and that can become challenging if the building turns out to be different from what you imagined.
Before Kristian joined SEAS-NVE, he had primarily worked in smaller companies – and with the change to SEAS-NVE, he gained better opportunities for courses and further training, both professionally and personally.
- I’m at my best when I feel that I’m growing and developing in that which I do – and I feel that here. I’m challenged to a degree at which I feel comfortable, and the tasks are adapted to what you bring to the work yourself. There are both rewards and credit for you, if you wish so.
