Energy production is a core service in SEAS-NVE and is about ensuring high security of supply and efficiency, a low cost level and increased production of green energy.
Today, SEAS-NVE plays a decisive role in society, as our society becomes increasingly dependent on the reliable production of electricity. Though, today energy production is also about a high degree of sustainability and the production of energy using renewable energy sources.
Rødsand 2 Offshore Windfarm AB
SEAS-NVE owns 80 percent of the offshore windfarm, Rødsand 2 south of the island of Lolland. Over the year, the windfarm has an average uptime of more than 99 percent. E.ON owns the remaining 20 percent of Rødsand 2 and manages operation and maintenance of the windfarm.
Today, the largest part of SEAS-NVE’s production interests lie in the ownership in Ørsted A/S, which is the largest energy group in Denmark with activities spanning very widely from distribution grids and end customer sale to extraction of raw material and the production of electricity.
